In order for crews to place a new slurry seal, southbound Gilbert Street between Fifth and South streets will be closed Wednesday and Thursday this week. A detour will be set up for southbound traffic: Fifth Street to Perry Street to Second Street to Lewis Street to South Street then on to Gilbert Street. The northbound side of Gilbert Street will remain open. This work should only last about two days.
