In order to safely remove large trees between the Firehall and Town office, and after much deliberation with our Emergency Services Director and Fortis, it was concluded that power will be shut off from the Town office on Friday, August 9th. As a result, our office will unfortunately be closed on Friday. We had hoped to achieve this over the weekend, but the availability of Fortis employees and the length of outage to our communications tower impacting the Magrath Wind Farm as well as RCMP communications, determined that this was the best option. Our outdoor staff will be working their regular hours on Friday, and our usual on call number for public works-related issues is 758-6422. We apologize for any inconvenience. Our offices should be open at the usual time on Monday morning.
