In other Mighty Mite action, the hard-luck Thatcher Eagles White - TopicsExpress

In other Mighty Mite action, the hard-luck Thatcher Eagles White came out on the wrong end of a 14-6 game against the Safford Devils. This was the second close close loss in a row for the Eagles. Despite being under-sized against the Devils, the Eagles fought hard all game, and had a chance to tie the game at the end. Minor injuries plagued the Eagles all day. Running Back Landyn Larrabee left the game early in the first half, and quarterback Coy Miller got banged up in the 2nd half and left the game. The Eagles offense was led by Rayden Ramsey, who ran the ball very effectively, and scored the Eagles lone TD. Tanner Rios filled in at quarterback for ten injured Miller, and did a nice job directing the offense. Koulter Mattice, Christopher Serna, and Derek Cameron anchored the offensive line, allowing Ramsey to get his yards. On defense, Koye Farris and Serna were in on lots of stops, as was Tucker Wilkins. The Eagles White quest for their first win will take them to Morenci this week, as they lock up with Morenci Wildcats Black. Good luck Eagles!!
