In other news: Minnesota Muslims near Minniapolis are demanding pork free Halal food from a local food pantry. Normally, most (not all) food pantries are religious based (Christian). Why are Muslims, who are non-Christians, demanding anything from a Christian based organization? Over 238 years ago our country was based on European/Christian based philosophies, beliefs and ideals. I may not be a Christian but as a career Soldier, a Patriot, and a proud American; I strongly support the philosophies, ideals and the real American way of life and the American dream. I do not however, believe that other religions, nationalities, etc have the right, to come here and change our way of living... NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY ARE DEFENDED! During my 9 years being stationed in Germany, I learned the language and I lived the Germans lived. I adapted to their culture, I didnt try to change it or compare how Americans were so much better. I did everything I could as to not offend them because they were my host country, I was a guest. Immigrants, legal or not need to realize that they are guests. They should contribute to our traditions but should not demand for change. If youre born somewhere and youre not happy by all means go where youre happy. I did. I didnt feel like I belonged in New England, so I left and traveled and fell in love with North Carolina. I love everything about the state. I adapted and changed, I didnt ask for North Carolina to change. Im an immigrant to this great state. Christians (most of them anyways) and Americans are most welcoming people but I think weve had about enough of demands from outsiders telling us how we need to change our ways. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! If youre not happy here, LEAVE!
