In partnership with Travancore School, the RCH is co-hosting an exhibition of artwork by patients of the Banksia Ward. Banksia is the RCH’s in-patient unit for young people who are being assessed and treated for a range of mental and psychological disorders. The exhibition features paintings, drawings, photography, poetry and decorated shoes, created by Travancore School students who are currently being cared for in Banksia. The Travancore School Art Program integrates art therapy and education to keep young people connected to learning and provide them with a medium to express themselves while receiving clinical care.
