In plaats van mee te kletsen over hoe vreselijk ik de vliegtuigramp wel niet vind, heb ik besloten iets te doen. Heb een email weten te versturen naar het consultaat van President Putin. Ik hoop van harte dat het hem zal bereiken, en wellicht net dat kleine beetje is wat iets uithaalt. Waarschijnlijk niet, maar ik heb op zijn minst iets geprobeerd:) Hieronder wat ik gestuurd heb voor wie het wat interesseert: Dear President Putin, Trough this letter I ask you to act on the MH17 situation. I understand you cant make a war disappear, but I believe that especially you could make a huge difference for a lot of people. There are so many people in grief over the loved ones theyve lost. Im not only refering to the deaths on this plane, but also the lives taken of those who live in this part of the world which is at war. Peace is so much needed. I think youd agree with me, that each life is so very precious and this fighting has cost the world too much already. I beg of you to use all your recources and power to attempt to end all this useless violence, cause were standing at the beginning of something that might be world war III. At the end of the day its not power and money which are important, but being with people who love and respect you. And being able to have a house to live in, and food on the table. At the moment most people in the world are looking for someone to blame, I dont care about that right now, what I ask of you is the following: Please make sure that the families of the deceased get their loved ones back home as soon as possible, so they can say goodbye and start to try to move on with their lives. Show the world you care, and you strongly disapprove the way the bodies of the deceased are being carried around. Give the dead the honorable funeral they deserve. Use force if necessary to make sure the investigators can operate safely in the area. You are in a very special position, one of few people who truly can make a change in a world filled with so much pain sorrow and grief. Id put in all my energy to talk to the people at war, but since Im a not important person, no one will ever listen to me. To you, they will. There are so many people looking at what actions youre going to take, please be a person the world can look up to. I hope this letter touches your heart and youll act on it.
