In power starved Manipur, local women are struggling to run their motorised sewing machines and hence affecting their productivity and livelyhood. After a few meeting with women entrepreneurs and NGOs providing training on tailoring & embroidery, we are trying to come up with a more power efficient sewing machine powered by solar which will guarantee at least 8 hrs/day of work. By december, we will have a few of this solution on the field.
