In regard to a question from some of our members, the Gila National Forest tell us that the closure of State Highway 152 at Kingston was put in place by the New Mexico Department of Transportation. DOT has closed the roadway due to recent rains causing landslides in the area of Highway 152. The ground is very unstable due to the Silver Fire, and prone to landslides as well as flash floods for areas downstream. We will keep you posted on any new developments right here.
