In regard to the two police officers who were shot I just want to say my thoughts go out to their families and friends. No one wants to lose a loved one. Theres a giant rift between those who swore to protect and serve and those who question authority. I undoubtably consider myself a skeptic of all authority. Most libertarians do and rightly so. But that doesnt mean we should ever celebrate senseless violence or abuse at the hands of civilians or those in uniform. Unfortunately because of todays murders, sparked by years of police and injustice, two more lives have been taken. The last thing we need is more violence because its only driving us farther apart. We need rational discussion and serious reform and an eye for an eye mentality wont achieve that. I dont know where we go from here but Im afraid things will get worse before they get better. Ive said this before and Ill say it again: think with your head not your hate.
