In regards to my previous post to this subject I want to clarify a few things. I do not support this business. In regards to my statement of the family owned businesses that closed(car wash and cleaners). In no way am I saying that any environmental damage or violation had occurred. Even if there was there are measures that could have been taken to make them environmentally friendly. Such as eco friendly chemicals and modern drainage and disposal etc etc. I fully supported those businesses and by what I understand or was told. They were shut down due to environmental issues. Now whether that be true or not I dont know Im not taking second hand information as being 100% credible. Now my complaint in regards to said scrap business which may be hypothetical at this point, Im not sure which. If complaints were made due to environmental issues with the local businesses there in the past. Who thought it would be ok to put a scrap yard next to a fresh water creek? Heavy metal and chemical contamination in soil, ground water aquifers, and water sources are an issue here. If this is pushed through I will seek to file an injunction against the city or city official(s). Plain and simple its fishy and Im tired of small town politics. If you dont like my opinion your entitled to that as well as in entitled to have it. Good day
