In regards to nutrition, I think the biggest thing we do to hinder our success is thinking in terms of: I CANT have this or I CANT have that. I eat pizza every week. Its a HEALTHY, HOMEMADE pizza. I know exactly what healthy ingredients go into the pizza. Flatbread from New Dawn, tomatoes, a little tomato sauce, chicken or lean turkey meat, pile on the veggies, and some cheese. VOILA! You CAN have pizza. Or if youre craving some chocolate... QUEST has these Reese cups looking protein peanut butter cups. They are 10g carbs, 20g protein and only 1g sugar. Do they hit my chocolate craving without having to splurge on something thats going to ruin my overall #s for the day? NO! They taste GREAT and fit into my nutrition plan. Moral of the story. Eat what you LIKE, but you need to get creative and think of HEALTHY ways to make your favorite foods. Pick whole, healthy, clean foods when making your meals all while still hitting your carb/protein #s. Starving yourself from what you want to eat is only going to last so long. If were going to continue to eat healthy and make this a lifestyle change that will LAST - youve got to start thinking CAN instead of CANT. We have over 300 people at FXB 180th. If everyone shares 1 healthy recipe - you can have something new every day for almost a whole year. SHARE HERE!! End rant. :)
