In response to Dianes request for creative writings, etc..... I wrote a new verse onto an oldie but goodie for my upcoming wedding. We have agreed to honor Brighid during our ceremony, and this is to invoke her blessings upon our marriage. Right now the plan is I and the groom sing it; the grove joins in 2nd time, the congregation joins in the 3rd, thus building the energy of the blessing request. But I wanted to share it for anyone who would like to use it for similar purposes, or just for a hearth blessing during this time. (marriage could be changed to family) (original verse) Holy Water, Sacred Flame Brighid We invoke your name Bless our hands, our heads, our hearts Source of healing, song and art. (new verse) Holy Water, Sacred Flame Brighid We invoke your name Bless our marriage, our love, our hearth Source of love and strength, never to part.
