In response to a post from a friend this morning, who suggested that Halloween was demonic(fiendish/characteristics of a devil) and occult(knowledge of the hidden). Im not sure Im keen on it either. however, Halloween in its present form is a Christian celebration of the dead, A precursor for All Hallows day, a celebration of the saints( in catholiscism). It has pagan influence and it shares similarities with Dia del Muerto, in Mexico. It also shares ties with the end of summer festival in old Irish culture. It is no more demonic than Acid house, which was perceived by some of the older generation before us, as Satanic Beats. Or speaking in tongues. In the same way that Remembrance Sunday is a day to remember the dead. So, All Hallows Eve was a celebration. Though very much more joyful with focus on the good, not the bad. its unfair to label either of these things as demonic! youtu.be/TQdIiEUFtqk
