In retrospect I decided to upload these as actual photos (deleted the old thread). Heres the information transcribed over: The knight-pommeled one with the plain leather grip is mine, while the crown-pommeled one with the wire bound grip is my fiances. Both have a lunette guard comprised of two serpents eating each others tail. Blades are ZWAs double wide epee, which are quite stiff. Additional information: Visually, theyre very cool. Unfortunately I went with the ZWA blades, which are unsuitable for freeplay without considerable padding. At the time, I was concerned the other blade I was suggested (Leon Paul Steam Epee) would be too flexible to handle mixed weapon sparring, which was a long term goal. I dont know if that is the case, as I wont be ordering LP blades for a few months (curse college!). Tips look like they could take a point darret easily enough, though. I like the design of these pretty well. Evidently, parts for this weapon set are based on some 19th century originals the designers found in France, but I dont know if that is actual fact. I know Turks Knot and Knight Head pommels show up on various period swords, however. Not sure what to make of the two-snake twisted Oroboros though. The grips appear to be hand done, though, as the two are distinct. The wrapped one has a gentle curve while my plain one looks a bit more like a modern French grip. The weapon is pretty light, but I havent actually weighed them yet. Likely theyll be heavier than actual smallswords, which is fine by me. If youre looking for parts, for tor these if you like them. Theyve multiple options on their site for pommels, though only two for guards (the other being rather unattractive IMO). I dont know if Id recommend the blades, however, since Ive not got any other epee blades to compare them with. Cheers!
