In some ways a quieter day for the team, at least in activity levels if not in the volume of the sound system, as we participated in the New Life Foundation International Conference. The guest speaker was a very spiritually alive Christian who is the Deputy Minister for the Interior. He not only welcomed the team formally by the government but also led us in impromptu worship. As a ten year veteran of parliament he is well established, has a solid reputation for integrity and opposing corruption and provides a wonderful Christian witness. Quite an inspiration when one considers what we have had in NZ. The team is now preparing to go to Dar Es Salaam tomorrow night (our luggage has gone on ahead) were we go to church on Sunday morning at one of the larger churches. I have been asked to preach at one of the two services. That evening we leave Geoff (he returns to Moshi for a few days of important work) as we fly out to Dubai. Updates will come as connections are available ... our students and leaders have done wonderfully with an incredibly full programme and a couple of days in Dubai will be a somewhat more restful stopover on the way home (well maybe) ...
