In spite of the economic chaos, like it or not, NDC still has a large number of followers who would still vote for them come 2016 even if they are starving to death! Lets make no mistake about that! They stand even a greater chance of winning if they allow Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah to stand for Presidency in place of Pres. Mahama, something I doubt very much, anyway. NPP would need to break into Western and Brong Ahafo regions which has a large number of floating voters in order to be well placed to compete. A more appealing personality like Alan Kyeremanten would do for them. Northern and Volta are gradually becoming a little more accommodating, but would need a personality like Alan Kyeremanten to win them over, because nothing would change their perception towards Nana Addo, so as far as they are concerned, they better put up with the devil you know... MY HUMBLE OPINION: NPP need to strategise well and put up a WINNING TEAM capable of unseating Prez Mahama, if they really want power. A sure way is stay united (avoid the Ashanti/Akyem rift, get Ewes and Northerners actively involved) and allow Nana Addo to stand as their flagbearer and Alan Kyeremanten as his vice. Dr. Bawumia is an excellent Economist and I believe hes a brilliant Presidential hopeful, but this isnt his time. He should not only be used as a vice to Nana Addo merely to appeal to the youth and Non-Akans voters. His brains should be FULLY utilised for the overall benefit of the country. Hes got many years ahead of him to understudy the older folks and learn the trade of what being a President really entails, so that his Presidential ambitions become a matter of course in couple of years to come. I believe he will make an excellent President one day. Just my opinion, folks.
