In summer of 2014 I was robbed at gunpoint here in New Orleans. It made me extremely antisocial. I skipped alot of invitations because I dont like being around too many new orleans blacks. Most have one degree of separation from thugs and are proud of it. They brag about beating your ass and killing other blacks then wonder why youre apprehensive around them. The preppy ones are even worse, so yes Im reclusive. When you have events you should acknowledge these are legitimate concerns and go out of your way to make peeps feel safe. And stop shaming them if they dont show up. Watch the news. Im a grown ass man whose been popular since kindergarten so parties (especially in this poverty stricken city) do nothing for me. Im stating this only for the people who are quick to say I blog but dont come out. Its obvious they need this feedback since apparently they dont watch the news. Alot more peeps would come out if they felt safe.
