In the 11-9-1927 the Vincennes Commercial Newspaper announced the plans of Lincoln High School senior Miss Kathleen Organ to make a monstrous photo album containing a picture of virtually every citizen in Vincennes. Miss Organ thought it would be a wonderful idea to have just such an album located in the Vincennes Public Library so you could always look up and see what a fellow citizen looked like. Vincennes Head Librarian Miss Kitchell gave her full support for the project. Miss Organ asked that each person send a picture with all vital information wrote on the back to her family home at 1336 Broadway Street. She also asked that everyone please send 50 cents to cover costs. When the album is completed a large festival will be held and only those who participated will be allowed to attend. According to Miss Organ The festival will be an outstanding event and all who have their pictures In the album will be free to contribute to the gayety of the time in any form of entertainment...
