In the Book of Genesis, the Bible says God placed man in the garden that He made; the Garden of Eden. Eden means pleasure. Can you imagine that God put His first man in the garden of pleasure? From the very beginning, God determined that our lives should be full of pleasure. Psalms 5:12 (AMP) says, "For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with You]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favour)." David understood this when he said, "The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage" (Psalms 16:6). The Contemporary English Version gives us a clearer picture; it says, "You make my life pleasant, and my future is bright." What a confession! In the eleventh verse, he said, "…in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" (Psalms 16:11). We were born right in God’s presence, where there’s fullness of joy, and we dwell with Christ at His right hand, where there’s endless pleasure. Therefore, our confession ought to be like the psalmist’s who said, "You make my life pleasant, and my future is bright!" God has already done all that’s necessary for you to have a pleasant life today, and a glorious tomorrow. Make this your regular contemplation and confession, and everything in life will line up with your confession. Prayer:Dear Father, I thank you for beautifying my life with your grace and adorning me with glory. I bask in your ever-abiding presence and love, knowing that my future is bright and secure in you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
