In the Glen Innes Severn Councils June Infrastructure Service - TopicsExpress

In the Glen Innes Severn Councils June Infrastructure Service Committee Meeting Business Paper, Council is again revisiting the issue of the pool upgrades for Emmaville & Glen Innes pools. Lets have the truth on this matter, YES the REAL TRUTH. If the Department of Public Health does not require the main pool filtration to be separated from the babies pool, then why have Council elected to close the babies pool on the recommendation of the Director, based on a consultants report (yes yet another consultant)? Why were the Councillors told that Council is obliged to do so when undertaking works (what works)? Why would an insurer decline public risk or liability cover when Public Health Guidelines are so clearly defined? What is the real insurance/risk issue? Is it not one of workers comp due to Councils failure to attend to the non functioning waste drain on the Glen Innes babies pool & a subsequent workers comp claim? Why is Council so keen to borrow more & more funds when Council despite the recently approved SRV, is already debt burdened to the hilt? Why not satisfactorily maintain the current pools until Council finds itself in an (hopefully) improved financial position? What has Council not declared in full?
