In the Mae Ta Man Elephant Camp, there live about a hundred migrant families working and living in the camp. And in the migrant camp, there is a fine young man seeking his dreams and doing great work for the community. Today, we are privileged to visit the Mae Ta Man migrant camp and this 21-year-old young man by the name of Kong. Kong set up a learning center and built a classroom with his community using materials donated by his boss. He teaches the kids and even some of the migrant workers English & Thai for 3 hours every weekday after work. The kids are hungry to learn and Kong, dedicated to teach. We were touched by Kongs dedication and love towards the community, spreading the importance of education. Magical Light Foundation has pledged to donate English textbooks for each of Kongs students and helped Kong to set up a library once he gets the permission and the space to build the library. Thanks to Kong for the hospitality and a very yummy Shan dinner cooked by his mom. We will be back to visit again soon.
