In the Raw... So the nice clean little cgc videos I send are recorded special for you to see how the handling has been coming along on an individual basis. This little clip is more what it is like at each feeding... i just plop down to handle them casually after they cream each other with milk sop and eggs..(Dont worry... They are beautifully clean when you get them... One thing my dogs like, is to just be dogs every now and again...is a dinner and farm on the fur experience. it is mellow and non stressful for them and I can focus on personal interaction with them in a training fashion instead of a meticulous cleaning strategy.. You will see how i interact with them and how they come up to me for interactions. You will see how i treat ANY attempt at nibbling on me..watch Sam... .he says I love you with his mouth... could be taught a great many things carrying things with his mouth...but I dont care for the chomping down on the hand that feeds them... i noticed he was nibbling at my finger... watch how I offer him my finger to see how he would handle it... chomp... so I press down with my finger.... then i offer it again... chomp... I press down quicker and firmer.... I offer again... nose to finger, little lick, and he has a great respect for the finger that is the dominant winner in this case. See how wonderfully easy it is if you watch for mouthy moments, and catch them immediately? This lesson was learned in two attempts. it is non aggressive, but confident, and it is repeated to one puppy or another in each siting until everyone has the idea...You will see Abby getting jealous in the background, wanting kisses...yellow and little boots does not want any part of handling at first, then keep coming back for more... I am checking eyes, ears, teeth. No underbites- which experience is showing me can get quite expensive, and not feel very good to the pup- though no easy fix either...ears are clean, skin is clean under the amazing coats... but I have two cases of entropia eye in the browns. That is where the eyelid on the bottom turns into the eye and irritates it.This condition is best not ignored. I will contact the vet and either take them in or see if I can shoot some video their way and get some drops mailed to the kennel, to relax the elasticity and ease the tension... sometimes this is all that is needed, especially if caught early. Sometimes it is not and a tacking (around $300 on an average) may be necessary. I can keep the pups longer and get it done here, or I can send them off to their homes and cover half the cost of the tacking about $150/ or even take that amount off the total purchase price.. Overall, I strive to be calm and assertive, in the most grandmotherly of ways. This is my handling three times a day for feedings.... Soon I will start leashing the older two... Exciting times!!!
