In the Upper Midwest you will find that the locals play the entire past exactly as it seems to be. Which is to say the they play in the present based on the past being played completely straight. Now, if you live in a place where the official story of things, the majority perception, the telling of the tale is just as its said to be, what actions do you create IMMENSE value in? If youre having trouble thinking it through, you might be from the Upper Midwest. The rest of you folks who immediately thought: well telling and getting away with a lie, of course, you need not read on. If you play the past as though it were straight facts, and so to do all those around you, rather than seeing a question mark in your head in response to headline or a gossip, the qui bono? first thought you may not be a grown up. But what youre really doing is creating an environment where people will believe that a lie believed is worth taking a shot at. And isnt that interesting? That you have all these people figuring on the past being played straight playing the present crooked. Thinking they were the first to figure it out.
