In the WTF are they thinking department... The federal government has placed an order and will spend just over $30,000 to install a “beauty salon” in a federal prison for women only. The order will include things such as porcelain shampoo basins, massage tables, and nail stations. The order was placed yesterday by the Waseca Federal Correction Institution in Minnesota, which is “home” to 1,030 inmates in total. The total cost of the contract comes up to $30,410.23, and includes items such as four Belvedere Adara Floor Vanities, eight Jeffco Rocket Styling Chairs, four Classic Spa Portable Massage Tables, four Pibbs Footbaths, four Belvedere cast iron porcelain shampoo bowls, and three Belvedere dryer chairs. They also sprung an extra few dollars and threw in two Commercial Model Super Nine Wig Dryers and eight Dina Meri Mani-go Nail Stations, plus more. It will even come fully equipped with its own reception area for the inmates to wait for their salon quality treatment. These are our tax dollars being WASTED. A bar of soap and a bottle of Suave shampoo is ALL that is necessary. Its a prison damnit.....not a bloody resort!
