In the book of Nehemiah it talks about the old gate. Its on the west side of Jerusalem and its the entrance to the central valley. Its called the old gate because of the remnants that are found there. The Word says we are to look back with remembrance and mostly thanksgiving to God as proud of what He had brought you thru and where you are at now. For me, about 8 years ago or so, I was in full respiratory arrest. Maybe only second away from death, literally. Anyhow, I just heard this song for the first time and it made me think of my old gate. I could have wrote this song. I am SO very thankful that GOD kept me!
