In the case of Michael Brown, the 18 year old shot outside of St. Louis in Furgeson Mo. Wouldnt it be great if just once, we would see this type of public outcry when someone other than a cop shot an unarmed black teen? Like maybe when theyre shot by another teen and everyone knows exactly who did it but nobodys willing to snitch. Maybe a similarly large crowd could gather, make up some signs and march on the house of the teen they all know did the shooting and demand a full scale police investigation followed by an indictment, a trial and maximum prison time. I have a dream..... If I took the time to look it up, Id probably see that about 1 in 1000 young black men who are shot, are shot by a cop. What about the other 999? Is that just nobodys business? I have no background in group think or mob mentality but I get the impression that some hope that if they make enough noise after someone who was just turning his life around gets shot by a cop, maybe the rest of us will believe that to be the most threatening issue facing young black men today. What some of these marching moms have to realize is that the most serious menace facing young black men today isnt the cops. Its more likely their own son.
