In the darkest moments a certain heaviness of spirit descends nothing appears beyond our minds that is not wrapped in despair. In that moment thoughts of taking ones own life nibble at the edges of our being until that silent gnawing becomes almost enticing. Thoughts of escape from the painful situation or mind set become dominant until suicide becomes to be seen as a rational alternative. This unfortunately is not the solution for ending this state of mind and being. At that time we can imagine things end but it is not so. After the deed the spirit lingers to witness the pain and despair of all who may mourn or come into the sphere of the event. That person has contributed to cascading pain of others and shall also feel the very pain they feel. This is the nature of being. The separateness that we seem to feel is an illusion a temporary one at that. There are rules to our present existence that should we stumble in our goal and exit the game we are given a period of rest and assessment of our plan, then required to face exactly the same conditions and rise above it. Everything is our own choice no matter how bizzare it might seem. There is no judgement ever made of our decisions but we ourselves know exactly what we expect of ourselves. Choice is always there but always know it is but a pausing between chapters. If the despair is great and darkness looms seek out the slither of light that can lead you into another day one that will not burden your spirit at some future time. To walk through this time and put away those chains that weigh you down is a great victory of spirit. Take a moment and love yourself and comfort the hurting child within.
