In the event of severe weather today and into tonight, the outdoor emergency warning signals at DMACC and McHose Park will not sound the typical high-low signal. Rather, they will sound a steady horn noise. This is due to the high-low signals not working on those two signals. Boone Police Chief Bill Skare said they are working on repairing the signals so they work properly. The other six signals throughout Boone will sound the high-low signal if severe weather threatens.
