In the garden of eden the enemy couldnt have done anything else to harm Adam & Eve, but he could only work through the law, there was only one law then, which was, THOU SHALT NOT EAT OF THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD & EVIL, he tempted them in that area, because he can only work where there is a law, because the law is the strength of sin. (1cor-15:55). If you have placed yourself under the law then you are an easy target to the enemy. Because, the enemy can tempt you & work in your life when there is law in your life & he will make you dance to his tunes & you will go round & round in the circle of guilt, shame & condemnation. Even at times when you struggle with something & make a law for yourself that, THOU SHALT NOT DO THAT, you have just placed yourself under a law & the enemy will keep tempting you & attacking you in that area over & over again where there is a law & you will go round & round having guilt trips. The Gospel is very clear, you are NOT under the law but under GRACE. (Rom-6:14)
