In the gospel according to Matthew chapter 4 Jesus goes through a series of temptations by the devil. The 3rd and last temptation Jesus is asked to bow down and worship the devil. Jesus refuses the request and says it is writen you shall bow down and worship the LORD your God and only him shall you serve then he rebuked the devil by telling him to go hence. We can clearly see Jesus standing his ground on the writen word, which was writen of him he came in the volume of the book and fulfilled it, it is finished he said on the cross. Exodus 20 thou shalt have no other gods befor me. Jesus tells his followers make no kingdoms on the face of the earth to be seen of men. God is a generational God Abraham Isaac and Jacob the twelve tribes become a mighty nation of judges priests and prophets. Jesus teaches us the kingdom of God is within us that this life is a journey and the next is eternal with benefits. Some sermise heaven is home and earth a passing through place. Set your sights on things above and not beneath. Store your treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust can corrupt. Jesus in John 14 tells he is going to heaven to prepare mansions for his follower and where he is there we can be also. Where your heart is their will be your treasure also. Focusing on God in the words of Jesus who obtained them from God is always relevent and rellative. Allow others to be burdened about building kingdoms to be seen of men. I have decided the great invitation of Jesus in Matthew 11v28- is good enough for me his yoke is easy and his burden is litelight. God who called chose and ordained is responcible capible willing and able to faithfully fufill his promises.
