In the herald today an article on the people who voted yes (the45) had the following: Many members have also been caustic in their response to recent loyalist celebrations, and their interpretation of bias within the media. Not one daily backed independence. Many were little more than propaganda sheets for the establishment. To say now that yessers are calling them biased is simply designed to infer these are the ramblings of paranoid separatists; it is nothing more than a continuation of their agenda to marginalise a growing independence movement. The hope is to turn soft yessers and potential yessers off the idea. And to say we have been caustic about recent loyalist celebrations - where do you begin? The thugs that rampaged through Glasgow on Friday night setting fire to the city, chanting racist slogans, burning saltires and attacking women for carrying Scotland flags, were the lowest of the low; the ugly face of ethnic nationalism. Rewind 24 hours and pro-independence supporters were singing, dancing and doing the congo together! The newspapers will continue to lie heavily about independence supporters in the weeks and months ahead, they are still petrified of our peaceful, democratic movement. We will keep making the case, though.
