In the last analysis, most of our difficulties come from losing contact with our instincts, the age old-forgotten wisdom stored up in us. C.G. Jung Jung , my man... nails it yet again! and the hard part for most post moderns is that he talks about a religious instinct as well. An animal part of us that wants to connect with the larger via symbol, ritual and story. Sad and dumb that religion has become a dirty word associated only with fundamentalism, narrow thinking, paedophile priests etc while spiritual is all good. I love that astrology has a long tradition and requires discipline and devotion. Thats my religion and I long for Australia to become deeply religious. To see ourselves as connectted to a much greater meaning and intelligence that resides in everything and everywhere even the concrete under our feet. Now that would be revolutionary..
