In the latest issue of Famitsu, Director Tetsuya Nomura, and co-director Hajima Tabata, and Total Visual Director Takeshi Nozue shed light on the recently announced, Final Fantasy XV. The development team utilizes the Microsoft DirectX11 software ina high-setting PC environment to operate Final Fantasy XV. Since both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One support the software, the game will bereleased on bothconsoles. Although the odds of the game porting to Wii U is nil, it can work on PCs. However, this has yet to be officially confirmed as it is currently undecided by Square-Enix. Square-Enix also considers incorporating the PlayStation Vita, tablets, and smartphones to the gameplay of Final Fantasy XV. The game features that these devices may hold and how the devices will interact with the game are unknown at this point. Square-Enix’s creative decisionto makeFinal FantasyXVanAction RPG and abandon the trademark turn-base battle system indicates the company new direction for gaming. Producer Shinji Hashimoto wishes that fans will appreciate the shift combat gameplay and will be asked for feedback soon. In addition, the player will be able to let Noctis climb onto monsters (as shown in the E3 Gameplay Trailer) as well as switch between three characters in real time. But, if Noctis gets slain, then it’s game over. Hashimoto says that more information on the game will be announced soon! So, stay tuned.
