...In the midst of chaos, I find #serenity and #calm. Practicing yoga daily is a very important ritual in my life and I am very grateful to the benefits I have experienced and continue to while living with a herniated disc for the past 10 years and having sprained my ankles 8 times in total on both ankles. I have always been a competitive athlete in soccer, track and field, basketball and volleyball and loved being active, yet sitting still was never something I could get myself to do without getting bored. This took time, and when I was in desperation to get my body at a place without feeling pain on a daily basis. Im happy I never quit. Practicing yoga takes time, and it should never be in ones mind to become perfect in the practice of yoga. Open yourself to finding natural ways of healing your body and becoming stronger and more flexible. I encourage each one of you to try not just one style of yoga but many until you find the right teacher fit for you and your needs. It may start as a simple workout and maybe in time, will evolve into an incredible mediation in motion as you become more aware of your body, weaknesses and practice to become stronger and more present. When I complete my own yoga flow quietly to myself, I am taken to a beautiful space in time. I find peace, calm and relaxation. My mind becomes still and my body opens up. ✌Maybe one day youll discover this too. Stay healthy!
