In the morning i watched some guy on KTN complain that he is forced to flee Mpeketoni yet he has known it as home for the last 30years. Much as i pity him, i wonder if he knows that there are people who have known Mpeketoni as their home for centuries or forever yet they do not even possess a piece of land. He just came the other day and he has a title deed of a land that once belonged to the fore fathers of the indigeneous people of Mpeketoni who are landless today. Allow me to say that there are such people in Rift Valley, Nyanza, Busia and all over Kenya except one region. Now, is government ready to have this conversation in a sober manner? I doubt. It always comes up with the plattitude every kenyan has a right to live nd do business anywhere yet there are no-go-zones in the country. Lamu is a tip of the iceberg. Uhuruto keep visiting the land registry; i dont know for what. But they must address the TJRC report or spend the rest of their time in office quarterbacking violence instead of development.
