In the museum in Longyearbyen, theres a stuffed polar bear. This is not unusual, as every public building and adjacent toilet seems to sport a stuffed polar bear. They all come complete with details as to where, when and how they were killed, as well. This particular bear was, according to the guide, killed trying to get at a young couple and their bacon and eggs breakfast, in a cabin. After expending all other possibilities of chasing the bear away (including firing a signal gun at point blank range and hurling a Chesterfield (!) chair in its face), it was finally taken down with five shots by a .45 magnum.
