In the near theoretical future, the world around us has exploded with next-century technology. Humans are now able to harness the power of immortality by regenerating our telomeres. The president, most government officials, and celebrities have already jumped the band wagon of eternal life. News channels are saying its the fountain of youth, third party companies are even advertising regenerating devices for the home. Even the kids can do it! they say. Life as we know it has basically been turned into another capitalist consumer item, taxed, and manipulated. Even your own family members have regenerated once or twice. Yet of course everything comes with a price. Religion blames the people for playing God, terrorist activities have spiked around the world, the black market has made an underground monopoly with cheaper and more dangerous devices, scientists have leaked side-efects that werent heard of before... and then theres you. My question is, if you had the financial ability, would you take advantage of this new technology and regenerate yourself? Why so, or why not?
