In the next few years we are going to answer with the way that we live and the choices that we make some very basic questions, will we allow GE to take over completely so that all of our food will become patented and genetically manipulated or will we move into the direction of agro-ecology and food production systems that are healthy for the earth and the whole earth community. Will we become even more trapped on the GMO driven pesticide treadmill watching the web of life continue to unravel with ever more species driven to extinction and our world decimated by climate change or will we lower our ecological footprint, shift to renewable non-polluting sources of energy and produce our foods in ways that will restore rather than destroy. Will we look at plants, animals and even people as commodities having value only in so far as they can be converted into revenue or will we regain reverence for life on this planet and regain respect for ourselves and each other.
