In the past families passed on their knowledge but it seems today that many parents want to pass on their judgement, expectations and live vicariously through their children. I was fortunate to be blessed with a family that was always helpful, attentive, encouraging, supportive and patient. On both my mother and my fathers side I had wonderful grandfathers and grandmothers who spent a good amount of time teaching me to use tools, understand electronics, be artistic and even pressed upon the mundane things such as table manners. Each parent and grandparent passed on some part of their experiences and helped to make me into the person I am today. I see many of the things that I do as a reflection of them and it makes me thankful to have been born into the life I have been so blessed with. It is my hope that one day my daughter and hopefully grandchildren will be able to say the same of me. I hope to be the type of parent and grandparent that my family has been to me.
