In the past few days I have covered a lot hard things. Things that were in fact hard for me to face as I learned about them. As has been said the TRUTH hurts! And I learned just how TRUE that is starting on this road myself after having faced some very hard things at a church I was once a member of some years back. Looking back I even recall a friend speaking with the pastor of this church. Asking him just what he should do as I was ordering Christian materials and videos to look deeper into these matters. As well as to use in reaching out to others. The funny thing is in so doing I ended up getting a bit more disillusioned at first seeing that very few of these materials agreed about TRUTH! This went on for some time till started just going to the KJV BIBLE ALONE FOR TRUTH! It was also about this time a box of Christian materials with a lot of information on the KJV BIBLE was sent to me. That other ministrys would of charged 100s of dollars for! Then so much became very clear. At this point I felt like a fool for all the wasted years I used to go on about how I was a NIV only person. I saw why I had been so confused on so many matters. Passages just started fitting into place. As it became clear they had much more meaning in the context of what deeper study showed! Like in, Matthew 7:13-18 ¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: {14} Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. {15} ¶ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. {16} Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? {17} Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. {18} A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. To show how this passage would apply in the easiest way I point you to these two videos! youtube/watch?v=NgM4b6UV5Vo / youtube/watch?v=e7nuCsWmX80 The first one has a bit of choppy audio. I can not recommend any of the other videos Documentary Guy or Heritage Bible makes. As I have not viewed other videos made by them. That said these two videos make a lot clearer then I could convey in writing. And as far as these two videos the information pointed out is in tune with what I from study into the matters. After viewing them think of how Matthew 7:13-18 would apply to the NIV? Can you really call it a good tree with this information in mind? Can you TRUELY say that the NIV presents a strait gate? Or dose it present a wide gate? Think of how this passage would apply as well! James 3:11-12 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? {12} Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. I know some of you will want to explain away this evidence. Some of you will want to find ways around it. As in finding this out and more I wanted to at first. However in time as I accepted what the evidence showed the Bible came to life in whole new ways as more and more of it unfolded before my eyes. All kinds of passages that seemed like puzzle pieces before fit. Even ones in the Old Testament like, Jeremiah 6:16-17 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. {17} Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken. I can tell you from having faced these things. It will be tough at first! However it is worth it! GOD BLESS YOUR STUDYS!
