In the pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night during the Israelites journey in the wilderness, Jesus was present with them(Exodus 13:21). The cloud signified His Shekinnah(glory) while the fire signified His power available to consume His peoples enemies! In Mathew 17:5, a voice from heaven spoke through the cloud as well as John the Baptist said Jesus would baptize with fire(Mathew 3:11) The cloud kept them cool to the scorching sun and the fire kept them warm in the freezing nights! What a mighty God we serve, He cares 24/7! In your situation, look up at His availability. Whether we are passing through the valley of shadow of death or sitting at the table with a running cup, Jesus is our great Shepherd! He knows our sitting down and standing up, He is always there!
