In the political world the stance of neutrality is sometimes looked at in disdain. Yet in the spiritual world, it is a vital approach to take on the path of being. This is because if you want to make progress you need to be able look at your ego without causing you pain. To do this, however we need to rise above the habit of judging ourselves as this is the source of our pain. We dont judge children when they fall down learning to walk, so why judge ourselves when we slip and tumble on the way to oneness? Neutrality helps you see what is unreal about yourself and surrender it without assigning blame or shame. So if you want to be who you are, learn to be neutral about who you are not.
