In the video, you can hear now suspended Officer Krug calling for the man to get up, but he hits the man again before the man can rise. You can see the man putting his hands up to put up some kind of defense from the punishing blows. It took several officers to pull Officer Krug away from the man. Commissioner Dan Derenda said, I received the video (Dec. 10) yesterday. Channel 7 dropped it off last night at headquarters for me. We reviewed the video and upon reviewing the video we opened an Internal Affairs investigation. At this point, the officer has been suspended without pay. The man was not arrested nor charged with any crime.
