In the way that Life tells that change is all about us, we seem to now be about to lose our second cat since May. Abe is a sweet and scrappy ginger cat who adopted us exactly a year ago when the neighbors abandoned him. He lived outdoors the first 3 years of his life and we would find him as much as a mile away from where we live. We took care of him, fed him, adapted him to our home and Armando our other cat who passed in May, got him fixed and learned he has FIV. And we fell madly in love with him. In the last 4 months, he has had a consistent and yet diagnosed infection, some complication from the FIV. It first looked like lymphoma but that was negative. Whatever it is, he seems to be dying. He hasnt eaten in a week and has lost a full pound. We are heart-broken. The time seems to be soon. Hoping for a peaceful passing.
