In this heat especially, please consider keeping out a shallow dish with fresh water out for wildlife. While we assume that they can manage as left in nature, there is apparently a crisis where many wild animals are being taken into rehab facilities suffering from extreme dehydration. I know many of us put out birdseed and/or food for our squirrelly friends, but they are having a hard time finding water sources and perhaps need that even more than the food. Dishes should be shallow enough that the different creatures can reach in without drowning, or if deeper they should have a lip thick enough that a bird could comfortably perch on the edge and just bend over to get the water.
