In this video, I show how I work on embellishing a giclee print. I am using ECO Elegance embellishing gel. The milky white gel will turn crystal clear when it is fully dry. The important thing to remember to do when embellishing is not to just paint gobs of gel all over the place haphazardly. Instead, it is if you are painting again on top of the print. For foliage and leafy areas I use a dappling method when brushing the gel on, paying attention to areas that are closer to the viewer - those areas get a bit more peaked gel. For receding background areas like the sky and far away trees, I apply a smoother amount or no gel at all. For the birch trees, I texture them by moving my brush horizontally, left to right and work my brush up and down the tree trunks, making sure to create little ridges where I feel that the bark is sticking out. The closer you can get the texture to the way the painting was produced in the first place, the better. I also like to add painterly brushstrokes on top of the ones that I did in the painting. #gicleeprint #giclee #embellishing #digital #digitalart #artrage youtu.be/fwGNRc4yPNk
