In this video there are specific things that are being called out which are fundamentals in building a competition image. Listen for them. 1) The composition, she has Kent Shelton back up with the light so she gets the composition that shes looking for. 2) She has the model bring her nose back to the camera just slightly so the nose doesnt break the plane of the far cheekbone (a no-no in competition). 3) Allison Watkins (English Photography) calls out the breaking of the wrists, in other words, dont leave a straight line when it comes to joints. 4) The image, all these things go into building a solid image, but with Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen Photography changing her lens and going wider, she ultimately didnt like the image because the sky drew attention away from the subject by being brighter.
