In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized - TopicsExpress

In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased. (Mark 1:9-11) Today, I publicly declared my faith in Jesus Christ and my decision to give my life to God. I gave my life to Jesus during my first year of college, and became a brand new creation. I was never baptized though, and I know that God was calling me to be obedient to Him in this way. I have officially been baptized, and I know that God is well pleased with me! While I was being baptized, I felt Gods love in an overwhelming way. He surrounded me with friends and family whom I love, and a church family that has accepted me as one of their own. He has blessed me in ways that I do not deserve, and I am so incredibly grateful for that. There is nothing I could ever do to fully repay God for His sacrifice, but I do promise to live every day for Him from this day forward. I am a child of God, and am proud of it! Thank you to everyone who came to Bay Chapel and the after party (thanks Joy!) to support me today! I love you all so much, and I feel so blessed to have friends and family like you in my life! P.S.- I may or may not have thrown up a peace sign when I emerged from the water hahahahahaha
