In todays world we seem to worry about how other people feel when it comes to belief systems, opinions, and everything like that. In the Christians world God has set limits on a lot of things when it comes to salvation. A topic that all people must at some point in their lives, contemplate. Lets think about this for a second. Throughout scripture, mostly in the New Testament, there are scriptures, that talk about the one way to get to heaven, and one way to go to hell. There are the two foundations, (Matthew 7:24). The narrow gate and road, as well as the wide gate and road, (Matthew 7:14). The spirit of truth and error, (1 John 4). The Word of God is clear cut on two things, either you are saved, or you are not. Now since there is a clear cut line drawn in the sand so to speak, what better way to deceive you than to blur the line? Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits, grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? (Matthew 7:15,16). For, No wonder, for even satan disguises himself as an angel of light, therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whos end will be according to their deeds, (2 Corinthians 11:14). Christians in todays day and age want desperately to be accepted by the majority of people out there, for fear of alienation. Since when has Christianity worried about the approval of man? Instead of God? You are called to be in the world, but not of it, (John 17:15,16). What would you say, if you were told that there two, and only two ways in this world. The right way, and the wrong way. One leading to life, and the other to death. And both have a sign that says heaven? I ask that because there are some out there that think they are saved, when they are not, believing a philosophy that is man centered, believing that God is there to bless your life as long as you acknowledge Him every once in a while. Or there are some that believe they are saved because they feel they are a good person, morally, so they deserve to go to heaven. Or that they prayed a prayer at some point in their past, yet continue to live a life that doesnt reflect their so called beliefs. If in fact you believe that there is a God, and believe you were in fact created by Him, shouldnt you find out what He says are the terms and conditions of salvation? I mean the author of it all has even said weigh your decision, lest you begin to build and cant finish, so you get mocked, (Luke 14:28,29). Or a King going out to encounter another King, (Luke 14:31). You arent saved because a pastor, or your friend, or some other person says you are. You are saved because through the living of your life it is evident. You are to Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, (Philippians 2:12). You are required to grow in Christ, Until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. And, as a result we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming, (Ephesians 4:13,14). If you claim to believe in Christ, does your life show it? Do your thoughts reflect growth in Christ? And do you confess your sin to Him openly? Or do you harbor your sin and hold on to it? Or do you pray as David prayed, Search me oh God, and know my heart, try me and know my anxious thoughts, and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way, (Psalm 139:23,24).
