In tonights programme Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Notcutts Park and the visit of Gorleston Fc who are currently in 4th position in the table. Saturdays match against Newmarket Town probably summed up our season so far with a refereeing display being probably the worst I have seen in 41 years of watching football. Three penalty appeals turned down, the second and third were definite penalties after fouls by the away keeper on Jay and Jono and even the Newmarket players and offiicials agreed they were lucky to win the game. Both assistant referees failed to give any decisions either and you have to feel sorry for the team after their efforts. Credit to Evening Star reporter Will Ridgard as his report on the game was a fair reflection on how the game went and he did name the referee who I did notice left the ground very quickly!! But there is nothing we can do about it now, it is in the past and future results will come if we show the effort and commitment we showed on Saturday. Wivenhoe Town winning just made matters worse but we are still only 4 points behind them and 8 points behind FC Clacton. We travel to Diss Town on Saturday. The reserves visited Newmarket Town on Saturday and triumphed 2-1 with goals from Valdo Tavares and Alex Breadman. They are at home to Halstead Town on Saturday. The u-18s visited Ipswich Wanderers last night and travel to Framlingham Town tomorrow night, kick off 745pm. Apologies for my deliberate mistake in the Newmarket Programme where I mentioned we won 4-3 after being 4-2 down, should have been won 5-4, hope you all noticed it, pity I didnt!! COME ON THE BRIDGE
